Growing up together in the same small, coastal town of Kennebunk, Maine, Brooke and Joe were always fond of each other. However, the story of how they came together is rather unusual. In 2014, Joe moved down to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his dream of a life in music. At the time, Brooke was living and working in Massachusetts. He played one of his first gigs at the historic Bluebird Cafe, and he posted a picture of the event on Instagram. Brooke commented on that picture, and Joe thought, “I wonder how she’s doing”, so he dropped her a line. The two would go on to text and talk on the phone for several weeks, until it became very apparent that they had begun falling for each other. After eventually professing their love to one another, and after over a year of a long distance relationship, Brooke bravely moved down to Nashville in January of 2016. Soon after moving, they adopted their dog, Dr. Indiana Bones, Barkeologist, and together they created a home. In May of 2017, Joe asked Brooke if she’d spend the rest of her life with him, and she said no. The end. JK, she said yes, and that’s why you’re all here.
