Sometimes we feel like we could write a book titled, "Our Story". We have a story, and many of you know parts of our journey together. There's not enough space to write it all out! But here are some highlights... We first met in the fall of 2009 on the U of M campus. We both remember meeting each other and having a refreshingly authentic conversation for about 10 minutes. We were at a fundraiser with a bunch of mutual friends, and so quickly got interrupted by the nights activities. But held onto that connect, both of us just feeling like we had met a special person. But I (Brook) was heading out to travel the world for the next year of my life with YWAM, and Scott was...well, also traveling the world with flight benefits with Delta airlines. So we both went off and did our thing, seeing the world and enjoying the life in front of us! When Brook decided to move back to Minneapolis is when our friendship really took off. We both had a vibrant community of amazing friends who were constantly gathering and doing life together. We always found ourselves talking late into the night at those gatherings, always found ourselves connecting and usually playing music at some point together. Sometimes it takes a while too see what's in front of you ;) We had a lot of complicated DTR's, until finally giving in to try this dating thing. Here's what we'll say...our friendship is what has kept us in relationship. We have so much fun together. We believe in each other. We have fought for our relationship. We've been through some hard stuff. And we've come out the other side, ready to live this life together FOR SURE. All good things take time. So we dated 4 (ISH) years...but who's counting. All we know is that we love eachother. We love God. We want to live our life for Him, serve eachother, and serve the world around us. Let's go!!
