Brook and Gavin met on the dating app Bumble. We aren’t entirely sure who swiped first, but they do know this much: it was a match. In his bio, Gavin wrote that he was looking for a girl with a fun and sweet personality. When Brook went to message him, she jumped at the chance to tell him exactly that—how fun and sweet *she* was. (We will let you in on a little secret: Gavin had completely forgotten what he had written in his bio.) Naturally, Gavin thought she was a little crazy. Why was this random woman complimenting herself right out of the gate? Big ego much?? Unsure of what to say, he took nearly a full day to respond. Eventually, Gavin did what he does best—he improvised. He sent a hello and asked Brook if her personality was as attractive as her eyes. Brook rolled her eyes, but she loved it. They chatted for weeks after that. There were endless messages, long phone calls, and conversations that stretched on for hours. That is how their purr-ents met. We love them dearly and are very sad we can't be there to celebrate them. Still, we know our parents are excited to spend this huge milestone surrounded by family. Our purr-ents *finally* meet! Somehow, our mom convinced our dad to go to Taco Bell (don’t ask us why). Brook tried to tell Gavin where to go, but spoiler alert: she had no clue where she was going. Gavin just laughed and said it was okay, as long as they could have a redo the next day. Lucky for everyone, Brook agreed. The very next evening, they went to S&B Burger Joint. They ordered fried pickles and talked the whole time. Well… Brook talked, Gavin listened, and we’re pretty sure he loved every second of it. The sparks were flying... at least, that’s what we were told. After our dad dropped our mom back at her apartment, they went their separate ways for the night. Still, they both fell asleep knowing they’d found their person. From that moment on, they’ve been inseparable. 💕🐾

It was the summer of 2024, and after all that time in school, our mom finally graduated college. Our dad was right there in the stands, cheering louder than anyone.
