Curtis and Brook meeting for the first time.
In 2011, Brook and Curtis met on an online creative writing and art forums through mutual friends. As they shared their creativity and personal projects, a bond slowly grew. From playful topics to more serious discussions, their conversations evolved from messages in chatrooms to phone-calls, video-calls, "digital dates," and eventually... In the fall of 2015, Curtis's mother, Cathie Crozier, won a sweepstakes trip to Disney World! In an act of unforgettable kindness, she offered an invitation to Brook, allowing the two long-distance love birds to finally meet. And in the heart of Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the two finally met. From there, Brook and Curtis went on to Disney World proper. Their first real date would go unmatched as they attended as guests at Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom on Brook's 23rd birthday. The day of fantasy, fun, and romance continued onward, from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot, where they shared their first kiss during the fireworks show. From then on, Curtis and Brook would take turns visiting each other, idealizing plans to start their lives together. Sometimes, plans went awry (Thanks so much, Covid)! But they continued to pine for each other. Eventually, late in the fall of 2022, Curtis's grandfather, John "Pappy" Fleming, decided enough was enough. Urging them to make their happiness despite financial or circumstantial short comings, Pappy invited Brook to come and have a place to live with Curtis. A loving act that will never be forgotten. Then, January 6th, 2023, Curtis ventured on a long road-trip north to Pennsylvania. Accompanied by the Maid-of-Honor, Amanda Kettles, and the officiant, J Kettles; they prepared to bring Brook down to Georgia. And now, a few years later, we invite you to be a part of the next great chapter of our story. It's been a long time coming, we know. We hope that you will join us this October 15th, 2025.
