Our wedding location is where it all began... on the grounds of Northern Michigan University.
The area surrounding campus is known as Downtown Marquette. This area is very walkable, the lake is accessible, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants!
Being Labor Day weekend, hotel blocks were hard to come by-- but have no fear, there are plenty of hotel options in and around town.
As another options, there are many Airbnb and VRBOs in the area. Harvey (where we live) is about a 12 minute drive from campus, so staying within Marquette is ideal.
For those flying in to join us, Sawyer International Airport (MQT) is closest, about 15 minute drive, to Marquette. Delta County Airport (ESC) in Escanaba is just over an hour drive to Marquette. Ford Airport (IMT) in Kingsford is 1.5 hour drive.
Uber and Lyft are not as popular here, but still exist!
