FAQs

The Wedding Website of Bronwyn Akimseu-Arnold and Joshua VonHemmerling
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that you not wear jeans, t-shirts or other very casual attire. Other than that we want you to wear whatever makes you feel great! You are more than welcome to dress to the theme and don some fantasy-inspired garb, or just throw on your favorite dress/outfit! The wedding will be at least partially outdoors during the evening in mid-October, so we do recommend bringing some warmer clothes or a sweater in case you get chilly!

Question

I would like to give a gift! Do you have a registry?

Answer

We greatly appreciate anyone's generosity that would like to give us a gift! It is absolutely not required or expected, we want you to come because we love you and can't imagine celebrating without you! For anyone who would like to gift us anything, firstly- Thank you!! We would especially appreciate any monetary gifts towards our honeymoon and our future together! Those can be given directly/in person or there are cash funds on our registry tab that can be given to virtually! There are also physical items listed on the same registry tab for those that would prefer to gift objects- No matter what or how much, we’re very grateful to be thought of! We are also always honored to receive handmade gifts as we have so many very talented loved ones, and we know how much love and effort can go into your work! Lastly, if you would like to make a charitable donation in our name, we recommend the following organizations that we strongly believe in: -Planned Parenthood -SW Washington Humane Society -The Satanic Temple -Southern Poverty Law Center -Kahea – the Hawaiian Environmental Alliance -Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women -National Indigenous Women's Resource Center -Pacific Northwest Community Supported Agriculture -Bat World Sanctuary

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you have been given a +1 you are welcome to invite anyone you like to accompany you, be it a friend or a partner! We have had to limit the number of +1s due to budget constraints, so if you have not been given a +1 we ask that you refrain from bringing an extra guest. If you have been given a +1 please do not bring more than one additional guest.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your kiddos and know you do too, this is an event that is expected to stretch well into the night and will not be child friendly. We request that children under 12 years old stay home so that the adults in attendance can have a night to let loose. We know this isn't always possible for parents and completely understand if anyone is unable to attend because of this.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

We will be providing alcohol free of charge to our guests. There will be beer and wine as well as a selection of pre-mixed signature cocktails. There will also be cannabis consumption at this event. For anyone who is not interested in drinking- we will also have a large selection of non-alcoholic beverages available.

Question

Is there any lodging provided?

Answer

There is rustic lodging available for free in the ranch the reception will be held in. There are 75 total bunk beds available on the top floor- they're nothing fancy and you will need to provide your own bedding but anyone who wants or is otherwise unable to afford lodging is more than welcome to stay! The venue can also accommodate up to 10 tents on the lawn. Please contact the bride or groom if you would like to reserve a spot to tent camp as the space is limited. There are also a number of affordable cabins throughout Smith Creek Village that are available to reserve for the night and more within Silver Falls State Park that can be reserved through the Oregon State Parks website. For additional info on lodging, please see our Travel page.
