FAQs

Question

How did you two meet?

Answer

It all started with a bunch of missed flights, some tequila, and the insistence of a couple of friends. And the rest is history, as they say...

Question

Is your wedding date correct?

Answer

Yes, we're getting married on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Question

What will the weather be like in NC in November?

Answer

We have no clue!! It could be 20 or it could be 70. The venue has both indoor and outdoor space; however, the ceremony and reception will both be indoors.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

This is a wedding and while we aren't generally formal in our every day lives, you will likely see Vanessa in a floor length gown and Scott in a suit. We ask that our guest adhere to a formal dress code (no tuxedo required but please don't come in jeans!).

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking near the venue may be limited. There is some street parking available but please read parking signs carefully - we don't want anyone to be towed!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5pm. We suggest arriving at least 15 minutes early.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

No. Due to space and the fact that everyone we know seems to have multiple children (thanks, marriage 2.0), we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding.

Question

I have food allergies and/or dietary restrictions, how can I let you know?

Answer

There will be a place on your response card to include any information you may need to.

Question

Will there be a full bar?

Answer

Yes. There will also be a photographer. Do with that information what you will.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are requesting that our guests do NOT take photos during the ceremony. We have paid a very nice lady named Kait a lot of dollars to be at our wedding. Oddly enough, taking photos is her job! Please let her do her thing. You are more than welcome to take them during cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing.

Question

What if I have other questions?

Answer

Feel free to call or text either of us. Unless it's wedding day, then please don't do that and feel free to ask someone else.

For all the days along the way
