This is my first gay wedding- what should I expect?

So funny, it's our first gay wedding too! No grooms, no problem though! We hope that our wedding will be just as meaningful of a celebration of love as every other wedding you've attended. However, you can expect lots of queer representation on the dance floor. Among the classic reception music, come prepared to party to Chappell Roan, MUNA, Lady Gaga, and more :)

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be cocktail attire. Think elevated formal clothing that makes you feel your best- suits with a tie and dresses with heels.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will take place primarily indoors. Weather permitting, the cocktail hour portion of the evening will feature an outdoor patio, but the ceremony and reception will both take place inside.

Is there parking at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House?

Answer

Our wedding venue has limited on-site parking just steps from the entrance. Overflow parking is available in the adjacent shopping center. We encourage friends and family coming from the Washington, DC metro area to carpool to limit traffic in the lot.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation from the Canopy by Hilton hotel and the Sagamore Pendry hotel will be provided to and from the wedding venue.
