The very first time Brody saw Crystal, he was in sixth grade. He knocked on the door to see if her brother could come play, and Crystal was the one who answered. Just a brief moment, but one that would come full circle years later. When Crystal was a junior in high school and Brody was a freshman, she gave him a ride to school one morning and brought him a hash brown from McDonald’s. The next day, Brody walked all the way to McDonald’s, picked up a breakfast sandwich, and marched straight into her AP Economics class to return the gesture. It was bold, sweet, and completely unforgettable. Years passed, and their paths crossed again when they worked together at a local restaurant while Crystal was in college. Their friendship naturally grew, and after she graduated in 2023, Brody started asking to hang out and take her out... as friends, of course. Then one day, he showed up with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. In the center was a single white rose, wrapped with a note asking her on their first official date. He wrote that the white rose reminded him of her, that she was one of a kind, standing out from the rest. Since then, he’s never stopped showing up with flowers, often a bouquet or two every week. Because Brody happened to be one of her brother’s BEST friends, they took things slow at first. Let’s just say there was a bit of strategic caution (and maybe a little nervousness about what her brother would think). But eventually, on January 8, 2024, they officially started dating. And did you know… their first kiss was under mistletoe! Since then, they’ve built a life full of adventures. Brody surprised Crystal with a trip to Europe, where they explored many different countries together. They've gone to countless concerts, and always find a reason to dance together (whether it’s on a night out or in the kitchen at home). Dancing has become one of their favorite things... Brody is always pulling Crystal onto the dance floor (even if there's not one)! Brody proposed just over a year into their relationship at Traders Point Creamery on April 11, 2025, the place where they shared that very first official date. And just like that, the boy who once knocked on her door became the man she said yes to forever with. 💍 Fun Fact: Brody asked for Crystal’s ring size in casual conversation when they were just friends! Years before he proposed (or even dated her!) Turns out he was playing the longgggg game!
