Groom's Parents
The groom’s parents were fortunate enough to welcome their oldest child, and as he says, “their favourite,” many years ago. The groom is definitely his mother’s son from his sense of humour, to his love for baseball, his ability to remember movie quotes and of course, his good looks. The groom shares his big heart with his father and his handy skills. Together, they taught the groom the importance of family, kindness, perseverance and love. The groom is excited to share this day with his parents.
Bride's Parents
The bride’s parents were blessed with their first baby girl and their second oldest in a snowy November. Although she is her mother’s twin, she is fortunate to share her father’s personality. Together, they inspired the bride to be caring, determined and passionate. They showed her what it means to love, support and be an active team member within a marriage. Words do not even express the bride’s gratitude when it comes to her parents and she cannot wait to share this day with them.
Best Man
The bride met Matt in high school and once he was introduced to the groom, they quickly became friends. With his charm, kind heart and sense of humour, Matt will be the one to help keep the groom together. He is the type of person who always knows what to say while being a great listener at the same time. Together, they have all been through a lot and continue to support each other to the fullest. Matt will also help the bride encourage the groom to be on the dance floor all night long, so no matter what he will be a cherished member of the bridal party.
Best Man
He knows the bride and groom, separately and together. The groom and Zach used to play baseball together. He remembers the first time the bride attended one of their games when they were 13. The bride didn't meet Zach until high school, where they quickly became acquainted through similar classes and mutual friends. He is now a close friend and a valued part of the big day. He is caring, easy-going and remembers the little things. He will help ensure that the groom is looking his best and of course, doesn't decide to run. The bride and groom are excited to share their big day with him.
Maid of Honour
Julia has been a staple in the bride’s life since she can remember. They started dancing together when they were young and shared many experiences from soccer, track and field, high school and university. Her kind heart, excitement about life, her love for Taylor Swift, and ability to organize and work hard like the bride has kept them tight at the hip. The bride is excited to have Julia stand by her on her special day and for many years to come.
Maiden of Honour
The bride’s soul mate, best friend, sister and maiden of honour. Ashlynn is the baby of the four Gilhula’s. She is fun-loving, easy-going, affectionate and the bride’s rock. The bride has looked to her with every decision as she has been there for every up and down. She will also be the one to make sure the bride is enjoying every second of the day. The bride is very grateful for her sister and the joy she brings to her life. She can’t imagine the day without her.
Groomsman
The third child of four from the Gilhula-gang. He’s always been the kindhearted goofball that everyone notices when he walks into a room. Owen is quick-witted and will probably be on the dance floor all night long. More importantly, he will be someone to lean on as the pressures of the day arrive. He will also be that person to lighten the mood, and be the center of attention when it comes to pictures being taken as his charm can brighten anyone’s day. The groom is excited to have him standing next to him.
Bridesmaid
Maura and the bride met in university. It turns out the world is a little smaller than it seems, and someone above planned for them to meet. Maura was born a day before the bride. She loves baseball, dancing and long heart to hearts. She is a kind, honest and free spirit that embraces life to the fullest whenever she can. They have been through a lot together and no matter what, have stuck by each other's sides, and even though they don’t see each other every day anymore, the bride couldn’t say “I do” without her.
Groomsman
As his cousin, Trey and the groom have been best friends and tight at the hip since they were little. He is going to be the one to ensure that the party doesn’t stop until the lights are turned on. A softy at heart, he is also going to be there for the groom in every way he needs, especially to keep the groom’s nerves at ease. The groom can’t wait to have his cousin stand up with him on his big day.
Bridesmaid
Back in the day, Brenna used to hang out at the Gilhula house all of the time. As close friends with the bride’s sister, she was a joy to watch grow up. She is sweet, funny, affectionate and has her brother, the groom, wrapped around his finger (even though he denies it). She will be sure to help make sure everyone is having a great time and will be valued support on and leading up to the big day.
Groomsman
He is better known as the eldest of the Gilhula kids. Aidan will be driven to lend a helping hand and ensure everyone stays in line with the timeline that the bride provides. He may not be the first person on the dance floor, but it won’t be too long until he makes his presence known (ignore his dancing, he can’t be good at everything). No matter what, he will be a valued member of the day.
Bridesmaid
Always down for an adventure, Kim is a reliable, kind and loyal go-to for the bride. After meeting in high school, the two have taken on a lot together. From experiencing Europe to cafes, beaches, music festivals and a visit to North Bay, the duo always seems to reconnect. Even though they don’t see each other often, Kim is always there for the bride and will always have her back. The bride is grateful to have her stand beside her on her wedding day.
Groomsman
The middle child of the Higgs-gang and the brother of the groom. Bronson will be an asset leading up to the big day and providing a hand whenever needed. The groom is happy to have him apart of his team as he is always someone he can rely on, on and off the playing field. Through thick and thin he’s always been by the groom’s side. He may not be too sure about the dance floor but he will be there to make sure everyone is having a great time all night long.
Bridesmaid
The bride’s oldest cousin. They were inseparable when they were little. They made up dances to burnt cd’s, spent hours in their Nana and Papa’s pool, and have always shared a love for capturing milestone moments with photographs. She will always be a friend that the bride will treasure. Allysha's kindness, enthusiasm, and expertise will be a huge support throughout the process. The bride is grateful to have her cousin standing by her side on her big day.
