Somewhere between high school statistics class, late-night hangouts, and endless laughter with their friend group, Alexa and Brody began as close friends. There was always a spark between them, but it took some time before they really knew what it meant. When they went off to college on opposite coasts, Brody told himself he wanted to “find girls like Alexa.” He had always appreciated how real, grounded, and authentic she was. He’d later come to realize that what he really wanted was more of Alexa. Years later, after college, they reconnected for a beach day with friends. The moment they saw each other again, it just clicked. That same day, Alexa signed a lease to move to San Francisco. Brody remembers telling his mom, “I finally feel something for Alexa, but she’s moving to SF, so it’s useless.” To which she wisely replied, “SF isn’t that far away.” Turns out, she was right. It wasn’t long before Brody was visiting Alexa in her new apartment, and that’s where friendship turned into love. Through long distance, three cities, and six amazing years later, that connection has blossomed into an incredible foundation of love.
