Cocktail attire is a semi-formal dress code that is more polished than casual wear but less formal than black-tie.
For women, it typically means a knee-length, mid-length, or floor-length dress, a dressy jumpsuit, or an elegant skirt and blouse combination, often in luxurious fabrics. There is NO specific color scheme you need to follow.
For men, it involves a suit or blazer with dress pants and dress shoes, and often a tie.
