Cornell student favorite! Great coffee, all kinds of bagels and sandwiches, sangria or beer pitchers on the patio... If this location is too far out of your way, try Ithaca Bakery - same owners and very similar menu!
Flower Power IPA and the Fry Flight are must-haves. Great outdoor space with casual eats and craft beer!
Famous vegetarian restaurant in Ithaca!
Hidden gem just down the hill from campus. Great for brunch or for dinner, with rotating seasonal and local fare. For dinner, get the french fries and mac and cheese du jour. For brunch, the huevos rancheros are the way to go!
A Shephard-family favorite! Try the Madigan Mint - its the best.
Beautiful nature trails and picnic sites!
So many to choose from! Six Mile Creek is closest to campus and downtown Ithaca. Sheldrake Point, Hosmer and Thirsty Owl are about 45 min away on Cayuga Lake. There are many many more in the region, but also a bit of a drive! If you can't make it to one of the vineyards, definitely find a local dry or semi dry riesling. Traminette (white) is also very good - the grapes for this wine were first grown at Cornell!
Pedestrian mall in downtown Ithaca, filled with restaurants and shops, public art, and frequent community festivals. A few favorite restaurants include: Viva Taqueria & Cantina, Mahogany Grill, Ithaca Ale House, and Thai Basil.
Awesome vendors and waterfront location, open both Saturday and Sunday. The breakfast burritos are amazing.
Located on the northwest corner of the Art's Quad, at the top of the slope. On the highest floor of the museum you'll find incredible panoramic views of Ithaca and Cayuga Lake.
Climb the 161 steps or sit on the slope and catch one of the three concerts played by the chimesmasters daily!
Just a short hike to the falls, and the park along the lake makes a great picnic spot.
