Our story begins back in 2004, when we first met at our babysitter Jean’s house. We spent countless afternoons together filled with chicken nuggets, toy cars, and playing outside. Ben, however, wasn’t too keen on sharing—he didn’t want anyone else to play with Audrey and wanted her all to himself. He even got invited to her birthday parties! As we grew older, life took us to different schools within the district, and we eventually lost touch. Years later, through mutual friends, Audrey was reintroduced to Ben in high school. When Audrey reminded him of their babysitter days—and even showed photo evidence—Ben didn’t believe her at first! By sophomore and junior year, the two had become close friends. Ben asked Audrey to their first homecoming in 2016, a date they now consider the unofficial start of their relationship. On April 29th, 2017, shortly after Audrey’s 16th birthday, Ben officially asked her to be his girlfriend. From there, they made countless memories together—attending four proms, going on dates to Rising Park, Chipotle, and Cane’s, and eventually heading off to Ohio University, where they built lifelong friendships and unforgettable experiences. After years of long distance and Audrey finishing school, they bought a house together and filled it with love—and three animals! Finally, in the sweetest full-circle moment, Ben proposed to Audrey at Rising Park on July 5th, 2025, the very place where they shared their first date.
