Jekyll Island Club Resort

Call into the Hotel Reservation line (912) 635-2600 and give them your name(s) and let them know you are part of the Brockert-Casper Wedding block of rooms. We have negotiated discounted room rates with the resort despite the Holiday weekend. Note: Standard Check-In time is 4:00 PM and Check-Out is 12:00 PM. When booking you can request early check-in or late check-out, but is subject to availability.

Flight Recommendation #1 Fly into Brunswick, GA

This is the best option for those who value convenience and would rather not rent a car in order to get to and from the island (once on the island there are free shuttles that service the island). Located roughly 20 miles from the Jekyll Island Club Resort, Brunswick Golden Isles Regional Airport (BQK) is the closest inland airport to the Golden Isles. Delta Airlines services the route with a layover stop in Atlanta (ATL), where you will then board a small (VERY small) regional jet that will take you the remaining 50-55 minutes to Brunswick. Bill and I generally fly into BQK and then UBER/LYFT to the island. The rides generally are 30-40 minutes door to door and cost roughly $35 each way.

Flight

Flight Recommendation #2 Fly into Jacksonville, FL

This is our recommendation for those who may be traveling in a group, where getting a ride together with Lady Marion could make more sense financially depending on the flight prices (see our travel note lower on this page). Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is located on the northern side of the Jacksonville metro and is roughly 64 miles (1 hour 5 minutes) door to door to the Jekyll Island Club Resort. You can find flights with either Delta or American. We recommend either renting a car and making the drive to the island or getting an Uber or Lyft. We have not traveled this option but have considered it in the past as sometimes there is a sizable difference in flight prices between the two destination airports.

Flight Recommendation #3 Fly to Savannah, GA

Occasionally, there are cheaper flights to Savannah (SAV), especially when departing from Cleveland (CLE). The airport is located on the northern edge of the Savannah metro, which requires you to drive through their city center en route of Jekyll (Est. 1 hour 30 mins). While not an option for Uber, this could be a great option for those who will rent a car and circle back to Savannah after the weekend in Jekyll for more sightseeing in another amazingly historic, East Coast city.

Bringing a Car onto the Island?

A quick note to those that are packing up and hitting the open road or bringing rental cars onto the island: Jekyll Island does charge a Park Entry/Parking Fee to help generate revenue to sustain the island. Please follow the link by clicking "VIEW" below for their rate schedules and more information. You can purchase the pass upon arriving at the gate, or online in advance of your trip.

Like Planning Ahead? Book Your Airport Pick-up and Drop-Off Ahead of Time

When Bill and I were on Jekyll in January, we had a wonderful woman as our Lyft driver. She drives for both Uber and Lyft and specializes in the transport for the Golden Isles. She gave us her card and mentioned that she does also take reservations for airport pickup via phone and email if you are planning in advance. She drives a Ford Explorer, so can probably shuttle 4-5 people if you coordinate with other people arriving around the same time. She services both BQK and JAX airports.
