Why is the ceremony and reception held on different days?

Answer

Due to the nature of the Chapel as a shrine, and its popularity, Chapel of the Holy Cross only holds weddings on select days. Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 was the only day available closest to the beginning of the year. We realize this isn’t the most convenient day for a wedding, so we have chosen to have our reception on Friday, February 6th to accommodate guests who are unable to attend the ceremony or need an extra day to fly in. For guests who can attend both, Thursday provides an extra day to explore, relax, and enjoy the scenery!

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

You can either fly into PHX or Flagstaff. Phoenix sky harbor airport is located 2 hours south of Sedona. FLG is located about 1 hour north of Sedona. Either way, you will need to rent a car to get from the airport to the resort.

What is the weather like in February?

Answer

February is a beautiful time to visit Sedona with highs in the 50 and lows in the 30s. We recommending layering up.

When should I arrive?

Answer

Guests should plan to arrive at least 1-2 days before the ceremony or reception.

Answer

Will the reception be located inside or outside?

Answer

Cocktail hour and dinner will be served outside (weather permitting).

Unfortunately no, you will need to rent your own vehicle at the airport.
