In February of 2015, Brock was interviewing for a job with my team at work. In the interview I didn't say much, as usual. But being Brock, he called me out and asked me multiple questions as I turned beet red. Of course I thought he was cute, and when we walked out of the interview, my boss said "don't hire off of looks!" Well, Brock got the job! We quickly became good friends. After we worked together for a year and a half, I took a new job within Tyson. Shortly after, Brock invited me to a Rangers game in Dallas. He surprised me with tickets to Six Flags that weekend for my birthday. Little did he know, I scream at the top of my lungs on roller coasters! After a great weekend and thinking I'd probably scared him away with my screeching, we started dating. The rest is history!
On Haley's 26th birthday, I told her we were going to eat dinner with my mom and just have a chill night. However, little did Haley know, Danielle and I had been planning for a surprise birthday party (shout out to Danielle for all her hard work for this to be perfect) with all our family and friends . I told Haley we had to go pick mom up for dinner at her house, but in reality, all our friends and family were in place at mom's house to surprise her for her birthday. Haley was so shocked and excited to see everyone, and she thought that was all the plans that were prepared for her birthday. Everyone gathered in the front yard for some games and I told Haley she had one more present in the back of the truck in the backyard. Danielle directed everyone to the backyard to set up the proposal area. Meanwhile, I burned some time blindfolding Haley in the front yard. We started walking toward the perfect circle of roses that were in place in the backyard with our friends and family anxiously watching. It was a special moment to see her face when the blindfold was removed and I dropped to a knee to ask for her hand. Thank you to all the help from our friends and family to make that day so special for us!!!!!
