USDs are accepted in Cancun so there is no need to exchange your currency. You will want smaller bills to tip the staff.

How soon do I need to get a passport?

Answer

Go to your local post office and request passport forms, instructions will be provided. It takes 4 – 6 weeks for processing. Cost is approx $120.

How far is the resort from the airport?

Answer

Distance from hotel to downtown Cancun, 10 minutes. Distance from hotel to Cancun International Airport, 35 minutes.

Do I need the "preferred" status room?

Answer

If you would like private check in, a private lounge, private bar on the beach, and to use the lazy river, you will need a "preferred" room, but it's not necessary. There are multiple pools/bars/beach front for the regular rooms.

Is golfing free?

Guests at Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa Resort will have complimentary green fees and access to an 18-hole championship golf course located in the Playa Mujeres complex. Renting clubs, a golf cart, or transportation to the golf course has fees.

You don't need one to get there, but you need one to get home. Schedule this at the hotel 24 hours before your departure.
