It's Finally Happening!

Brocelyn first met when Jocelyn came to Cornell for her graduate school visit weekend. Jocelyn dazzled Brandon with her excellent knowledge of rap lyrics, and Brandon hooked Jocelyn with his relaxed charm and fun-loving attitude. Jocelyn had such a wonderful weekend that in a rather uncharacteristic move, she chose to attend Cornell on the same day she returned from her trip. Something just felt right. It would be several months until everything became official, but this was the weekend that started it all. Thanks Cornell.

Four score and seven years later......Brandon decided it was time to lock it down. The Finger Lakes had played a very important and significant role in their relationship, and Brandon thought it would be the perfect place to propose. With some special help from their friends at Sheldrake Point Winery, Brandon planned a very special surprise for Jocelyn. Brocelyn traveled back upstate from Brooklyn for a nice weekend away from busy city life. The first stop: some wine tasting, one of Brocelyn's favorite activities. Upon arriving to Sheldrake Point, Jocelyn did not notice anything out of the ordinary. Brocelyn had a great time catching up with all their friends and were asked if they wouldn't mind being part of a photo op in the new winery building. Always one to help out friends, Jocelyn accepted. Upon arrival at the photo site, she turned around and saw Brandon on one knee. She said "I do" (of course). With one wet knee and two big smiles, Jocelyn and Brandon headed back to the tasting room to celebrate with their friends and soak in the moment before calling their families.
