It all started at Rollins College during our freshman year—two young soccer players, unknowingly on a collision course. We were both on the soccer teams, and our practices were perfectly timed: Mason’s ending just as Briyah’s was about to begin. Cue the casual small talk, sideline smiles, and just enough awkward timing to plant a seed. But the real plot twist came at the men's and women’s soccer mixer. Under the glow of questionable lighting, fate stepped in. That night, Mason declared to one of Briyah’s teammates that he wasn’t interested in anyone there—except her. One real conversation turned into another, and from that night on, we’ve been writing our own story—complete with love, laughter, and plenty of kick-arounds. Soccer may have brought us to the same field, but love is what kept us in the same game.
