This incredible museum, located adjacent to the St Louis Cathedral, houses two exhibits which tell two sides of the ongoing Louisiana story—one of celebration and one of resilience. Mardi Gras: Its Carnival time in Louisiana and Living with Hurricanes: Hurricane Katrina and beyond. A day trip here, along with the Cathedral and the Cabildo, is an excellent way to immerse yourself in New Orleans culture while seeing a side of the city so different than hand grenades and bourbon street.
Awesome shopping and eating strip. Sandwiched between the Garden District and the Irish Channel; beloved neighborhoods with contrasting architecture, yet both truly New Orleans.
Skip Bourbon St.. see local music on Frenchman St!
Have a drink at the Polo Lounge in a tailored suit. Have high tea in the grand lobby like a southern belle. Enjoy the horse pictures and statues of hunting dogs. Our favorite hotel. Take an elevator for a ride, just because.
