WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Our "How We Met" story is one for the modern ages. With two busy lives, and no desire for the ‘bar scene’, we both turned to social media and the virtual cupid that is on-line dating. Were the algorithms right? Was it chance or fate that had us ‘swipe right’? We will never know other than to say we will be forever thankful for finding each other, and growing our love together, from that first day on-line and our first date that followed.

A secret to some, a surprise to others, and a morning to remember! As family and friends had heard, we were planning to ‘tie the knot’ after four great years together. But some details are best kept quiet. Britt planned a morning hike to watch the sunrise at Max Patch, North Carolina looking across the Smokey mountains. An 3:45 AM alarm to drive 2 hours to the base of the mountain ensured we would be in place after a brisk 30 minute hike to the top. Britt brought the connoisseurs travel kit to brew our morning coffee, and together we watch the sun crest the peaks. At first light Britt knelt to one knee and asked if we could start the rest of our lives together. With a ring in hand, and soon on mine, we celebrated the new day and our new life together engaged to marry.
