Flight
Buenos Aires has 3 airports that you can fly into, but two of them are domestic. If flying into Buenos Aires from outside of Argentina, we recommend flying into Ezeiza. The airport is +/- 1 hr. from the city, depending on traffic. We recommend avoiding arrival times between 4:30-7pm. The wedding venue is close to Ezeiza, so If you will be arriving closer to Saturday or leaving on Sunday, please reach out to us as it may be more convenient for you to stay in Cañuelas. ♥︎♥︎ Here is our quick guide to finding cheaper flights: (1) When searching flights, use an incognito or private window to search (2) Our preferred search engine is Kayak (3) Once you've found your flight there, go directly to the airline's site to book so that you aren't charged the Kayak fee (4) If you live near a city with direct flights (NYC, Miami, LA, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston), start there (5) If you don't, try searching direct flights from there and then taking a local low-cost flight (Southwest) to that city.
Travel Note
To get to and from the airport: you may reserve ahead of time a taxi ride with our friend, Francisco. Please inquire for his information with some notice. The price is about $25 (can be paid in dollars if you don't have pesos yet). This is our preferred option, but you may also take a shuttle (Tienda Leon) or a Cabify (see info below) if he is full for your desired pickup time. To get around the city: ♥ Taxi (yes, you can hail them from the curb. Note that buses are also hailed, so make sure to not do this at a bus stop) ♥ Cabify (download this secured app; it's like über but legal) ♥ über* ♥ Subway (most subway cards must be purchased ahead of time or at certain stations only and are about $1) ♥ by foot (our preferred method) ♥ bike rental is available through companies and there are bike lanes. *Please note that in Argentina über is not yet legalized. It still works the same but one passenger must sit in the front seat with the driver.
