IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SWIPE

06.01.18

It all started when we both swiped right. Our story is far from traditional -- but traditional is boring anyways!

WE OWE IT ALL TO BUMBLE!

Brittney- "I didn't think he even liked me after our first date." It's my favorite story to tell about us! (I'm sure you've heard it, LOL)

Our First Date

06.03.18

We went to the loudest restaurant I could've picked--let me just start there! Vincent picked me up at my apartment and drove us to dinner; I had chosen a bar/restaurant so it would be more laid back. The car ride was nice, the conversation was good. Things were looking up! When we sat down for dinner we both ordered a drink and continued our conversation... BUT Vincent didn't look interested in much I had to say (first date jitters, maybe) and I definitely started to notice when he would give me "blank stares". We finished up dinner and were going to go see "Life of the Party" at the nearby movie theater. All through the movie I couldn't really shake the feeling that this guy was just being nice and really didn't want to be here (first date jitters, definitely!). When the movie was over and we headed home I was in my head the whole time thinking, "this is going no where" and on and on. We arrived back at my apartment and Vincent walked me to my door (what a gentleman) and gave me a hug and said he would text me later. I thought to myself, "there is no way this guy is going to text me". Low and behold, about an hour later he DID text me! He told me what a great time he had and that he was looking forward to getting to know me better. My mind was blown--I thought for sure it was just another flop--online dating is hard! When Vincent told me how great of a time he had I had to ask him if we were even on the same date. I, of course, was interested in pursuing whatever it was we were going to have but I was so lost after the bizarre first date we had just had. He proceeded to tell me that the restaurant was so loud and he couldn't hear me! And that in the movies when I whispered to him he couldn't hear me! I found out after our first date that he had some hearing loss ... I would've picked a different restaurant if I had known! This first date was one for the books, but one I'd never take back! It brought us closer to each other in the end!
