One day, a girl in her senior year of college decided to tag along with a friend to a local Taekwondo school to relieve some stress. A boy was having a normal day teaching his Taekwondo students; giving them push-ups until his heart was content. The girl walked through the door and signed up for the next class while the boy was still giving his students push-ups. For a brief moment, the boy saw the girl; his jaw dropped to the floor. The girl walked into the class and met the boy. Her heart was racing, and I promise it wasn't from all push-ups. And the rest is history.
Our first date was not one full of flowers, dinner, a movie, and romance. Instead, it was a 3 mile run around the Nike campus at five o'clock in the bitterly cold morning. However, it was on this date, that two lovebirds ended their run and sat together on a bench, watching the sunrise break over the lake. It was here, that he asked her to be his girlfriend. As their relationship and love grew for one another, the time came that they decided to become more than boyfriend and girlfriend. After a fun-filled day of sun, food, and laughter, we settled down by the docks to watch the sunset. After some heart-filled words and some tears of joy, Stepan proposed. If you haven't figured out where this story is going, I said YES! The sappy line that took the cake was "Our relationship began with the rising of the sun, so what better way to end this chapter and begin the next one than with the sunset. Brittney Baird, will you marry me?"
