Dress code is business casual or semi-formal. We would REALLY love to have an "all white" ceremony for our pictures, so please indulge us by dressing in all white, if you can! (Shoes/accessories do not have to be white if you don't have them- any neutral color like black, brown, grey, beige, etc is fine.) If you can't join us in all white, a combination of white/grey (or silver) would be an ideal second choice, or white/black would be the third best choice. Failing any of those options, the next most neutral-colored outfit you have would be ideal. We'd really love to have some beautifully coordinated pictures with our loved ones to look back on forever, so our biggest request is please do NOT wear colorful outfits, accessories, shoes, etc (please no red, blue, pink, green, etc). White or neutral is ideal. We appreciate your help and participation in making our photos extra special!
We sure do! There's a link to it right on this website- just click on the tab that says "Registry" at the top of our website. Currently, we are only registered here at Zola.
No! You do not need to buy a park ticket to attend either the ceremony or the fireworks reception. We have paid for chartered transportation that will allow you to get into the park before it opens for the 9am ceremony (more information on the chartered transportation is listed below). For the fireworks party reception, you will be instructed to meet our Disney guide at the park entrance of EPCOT. The guide will let you into the park without a ticket, and will lead you to our party location.
No, you can stay at a hotel offsite; however, please note some VERY important info: To attend our 9 am ceremony, we have to pay for chartered transportation to get our guests into the park before it opens. Disney’s public buses, ride shares, or your own car will NOT get you to the ceremony. In order to get to the ceremony, you absolutely must be on the chartered bus, ON TIME. These buses will have 2 pick-up locations: Pop Century & Port Orleans:FQ (see our “room block hotel discounts" FAQ). If you are staying offsite, you will need to make it to the Disney hotel pick-up locations EARLY. Please be aware that you may not be able to park at a hotel, Uber *always* takes much longer than you expect, & everyone gets stopped at the hotel security gate. We strongly encourage you to arrive at the charter pick-up location EXTRA early. (Alternatively, consider staying just 1 night in a hotel block room). We would be devastated if you came all this way to Orlando only to miss the main event!
Sadly, no. The ceremony will begin at 9 am & finish at 10 am, when the park opens. After the ceremony, you will be escorted back to the chartered bus & taken back to your resort. From then until our fireworks party that night, what you choose to do with the rest of your day is totally up to you! You can visit a park (if you bought tickets), tour Orlando/Disney Springs (no ticket required), or take a nap (we definitely will)! To join the fireworks reception, you will not need to get on any chartered bus (yay)! You will simply need to meet at the entrance to EPCOT at approx. 7:45 pm (this time may change as we finalize the details). A Disney guide will meet you and take you to the party -- no ticket needed. There are TONS of ways to get to EPCOT -- we will share directions on the "Things to Do" tab soon. That said, the buses in particular ALWAYS take longer than you think (a good rule of thumb at WDW is at least 1 hr, or more, for buses), so leave early so you don't miss the party!
They will pick people up at 7:45am at the "Pop Century" resort, and at 8am at the "Port Orleans: French Quarter" resort.
Because we're booking an event with Disney, they are letting us set aside a certain number of hotel rooms at select Disney hotels for our guests to book at a discounted rate. The specific hotels will be: the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort (a moderate resort), Pop Century (a value resort), and the Grand Floridian Resort (a deluxe resort). Additional information on how to book a room through the room block (to get a significant discount) will be on the "Hotels" tab on our webpage. Additionally, staying at these hotels means you'll be staying at the same place where the chartered vehicles will be picking up our guests to take them to the ceremony, meaning you won't have to worry about getting up even earlier and having to get to a different hotel for the pickup extra early in the morning!
No; hotel reservations and park tickets are separate. However, if you book a Disney hotel room, you can usually purchase park tickets at a discounted rate. Remember, you do NOT need to purchase park tickets to attend either our ceremony or our fireworks reception.
Due to strict capacity limits at the venues, our guest list is very limited and intimate. Please do not invite additional guests who were not addressed on your invitation without first speaking with Scott or Brittney. Please note that Disney requires IDs of everyone entering the ceremony and fireworks reception and checks them against our approved guest list. Anyone who is not on the approved list will not be allowed into the events. Additionally, please note that both the ceremony and the fireworks reception will be adults only events (ages 12 and up).
If you haven't already, we strongly encourage you to book your hotel ASAP. Rooms are selling out at Disney and we don't want you to have to miss out on an on-site room if you want one! Similarly, we'd STRONGLY encourage you to buy your park ticket(s) and make park reservations ASAP. You must make a park reservation (well in advance) for which parks you want to visit on which day of your trip. Park reservations DO fill up, and just having a ticket will NOT get you into a park. You need both 1) a ticket and 2) a park reservation for a specific park on a specific day. Lastly, if you want to make a dining reservation for one of the restaurants on Disney's property, dining reservations open for booking 60 days in advance of the first day of your trip. Some places (like Be Our Guest or Oga's Cantina) are very popular and it can be very hard to get a reservation for them, so again, we encourage you to book as soon as you are able. Don't wait and miss out!
There are 3 options: 1) Car rental - the most flexible option, as you won't need to rely on Disney's buses to get around the property or to and from the parks, but by far the most expensive option. You'll also need to pay for overnight parking if you're staying at a Disney hotel, and pay for daily parking if you're driving to the Disney parks. 2) Ride share (Uber/Lyft) - usually more expensive than buses, but much faster as it will take you directly to your hotel. 3) Buses (Mears Connect or Sunshine Flyer) - the cheapest option, but also the slowest. You'll likely have to wait for other passengers to fill up the bus, and it usually makes multiple stops on the way to your hotel. Expect to take 1 to 1.5 hours to get from the airport to your hotel.
