we're getting married!

Our story began in the most unexpected place-- an elevator in Nashville, Tn, in 2021. As students at Tennessee State University, we both found ourselves living in overflow housing at a hotel while waiting for permanent accommodations. One ordinary day, as we were headed to our rooms, Russell stepped on the elevator and neither of us knew that a simple ride would change our lives forever. From that first meeting, there was something special in the air. The air was filled with genuine sweetness and curiosity, with a dash of nervousness! What started as a chance encounter quickly grew into a friendship and then a love that felt effortless. Before long, we became inseparable, even when we were 500 miles away from each other for 4 years. The conversations never seemed to end and the compassion, encouragement, and kind words we shared only brought us closer together. As days turned into months and months into years, it became clear that we had found something rare in each other -- a bestfriend, a safe place, and a forever kind of love. What began as a brief elevator ride became the journey of a lifetime, and we are SO excited to continue that journey together as Husband and wife!
