Ross and Brittney met in the summer of 2014 at their mutual friend's pool party. They were both part of the infamous Middlekee friends group (that is Middleton and Waunakee put together). When they met, they instantly felt a connection. They exchanged messages for a while and Brittney knew she wanted to go out with him. She mustered up the courage and asked him out! After that first date, the rest was history!

"Mini (Adam's nickname for Brittney), what if Ross proposes to you in Hawaii and you say "No", How awkward would that be?!"-Adam, Sept 2019. Brittney's response to that statement was "It wouldn't be awkward because I wouldn't say "No". From a young age, Brittney had always dreamed of someone getting down on one knee in Hawaii and asking her to be their wife but never in a million year did she think that would come true! This past January her family and Ross took a trip to Maui that ended up being different from what they could have ever imagined. What was supposed to be a fun trip for her dad, Katie, Adam, Ross turned into a trip that included Britney's mom, Ken and Adam's two close friends to spread Adam's ashes off the coast of Maui. While they were there, Katie wanted family photos taken. Before the photo shoot, Brittney gave Ross a hard time about looking so red..little did she know what he had planned. A short while after the shoot started, Ross got down on one knee and said "I actually have something for you..." while reaching for his back pocket. Brittney's first thought was that he had a granola bar for her but soon she realized what was happening. Ross asked her to marry him, She obviously said "YES!" Her dad and Katie jumped for joy and they were so happy them. The photographer was so excited since she had never had that happen before and the other guests of the resort that had been watching from above started clapping. It truly was a magical moment. Ross was able to pull all of this off without telling a soul and Brittney honestly didn't have any idea it was going to happen, but was so glad that it did :)
