We're Gettin Hitched! (Finally!)

Well... the question is, which time did we meet for the first time? Robert and I like to fight over who tells this story better, of course I think he tells it better and vice-versa. I think the second time we met was the one that counts but that's just my opinion. Honestly the story is told better in person, but here goes nothin'! I had gone to a friend's Halloween party in 2010 and I had worked late so naturally I had to go get ready so I arrived late and by the time I had gotten there everyone was already drunk. I didn't know anyone except for my friend throwing the party and she was nowhere to be found. So I walked over to the nearest group of people all standing around the keg and I asked anyone if they wanted to shoot pool with me. This guy with a cigarette in one hand and a red solo cup in the other said "I'll play with you". After that night we started talking over facebook and after about 2 or 3 weeks I finally agree to go on a date with him. He was nice, cute and drove a '72 Chevelle and an '86 Blazer to boot. We hit it off, movies, bowling, food, YouTube nights and lazy days. Fast forward a couple of months and we're talking about how he came up with his cars name: Chelley. I mention my friend's sister name was Chelley and he looks at me with a surprised look on his face. He asked if my friends name was Kelly and I said yes. He then laughed and said "You were that hot 16 year old at the party"! I was completely confused, he then said "Do you remember a party at their house a few summers ago and there was that guy who wouldn't leave you alone"? I said "Yeah, he was an ass". Robert then pointed at himself and said "I was the ass". We had no idea that we were the same people 3 years later. My hair was darker and he had a full goatee and long hair. We still laugh about it to this day. So I guess you could say we're believers of serendipity. 💛
