We met in college at UNCP. Reuben was studying chemistry and playing football, while I was working toward my degree in education. Between classes, campus life, and friends, our paths eventually crossed, and the rest was history. It didn’t take long before Reuben worked up the courage to ask me out. Our first date was at Sonic. It was a true college student first date... simple and quick. We sat for a while, talked, laughed, and had the best time… even though they were out of mozzarella sticks (which I’m still not over). From there, everything just fell into place. We spent hours watching movies, driving to Fayetteville for Moe’s Mondays, and hanging out with friends. Over the years, we built a beautiful life together in Raleigh, North Carolina. Then, on July 12th, 2025, surrounded by our closest family and friends, Reuben got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. After a moment of happy shock and a few tears, I said yes! We’re so excited to begin this next chapter together and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
