Luke and Brittney met the summer before their freshman year of high school. At this time, they were just two volunteers at VBS who kept running into each other. Fast forward to the school year: Luke asked for Brittney's phone number! Even after texting almost every day freshman year, they grew apart sophomore year. Fast forward again, though, to junior year of high school: Luke asked Brittney to junior homecoming! They kept in touch that school year, but nothing really came from it. Senior year came around, and they go to homecoming with each other again. Insert some more texting until senior prom. Cue the promposal and they went to senior year prom! Luke and Brittney then graduate and both attend Central College. Brittney thought that dating Luke would be a great idea, but she got cold feet. Forever at 18 seemed scary. Years pass, and it is now the summer before senior year of college. Brittney was interning in Chicago and started texting Luke again. At that point, Luke actually had to resave her contact after "getting a new phone deleted it". Texting and Facetimes turned into trying to meet up, but then... COVID hit. More texting eventually led to more in person meet ups. August 2nd, 2020, Luke finally said "So we're dating, right?" and it was official, they were boyfriend and girlfriend. A hop, skip, a new house for Brittney, and seminary for Luke later, they finally got engaged on July 29th, 2022. Now we are here! Wedding planning and enjoying being engaged. We cannot wait to celebrate our big day, and we look forward to you being there with us.
