Juston and Brittney’s story began on the campus of Alabama State University, where they first crossed paths as Criminal Justice majors. Brittney graduating in Spring 2014 and Juston in Spring 2015. Though life initially led them in different directions, fate had other plans, and their paths beautifully reunited in 2021. Working night shifts, Brittney as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and Juston as a Deputy Sheriff, they found comfort in one another through the shared rhythm of demanding schedules and service-filled lives. Their first date on March 31, 2021, marked the beginning of something undeniable, and from that moment on, they were inseparable. In May 2021, they took their first trip together to Destin, Florida, celebrating Brittney’s birthday. What began as a simple getaway quickly became a cherished tradition, returning year after year to celebrate Juston’s birthday and create lasting memories by the sea. On October 31, 2025, Halloween, Brittney’s favorite holiday, Juston asked Brittney to spend forever with him. They chose to celebrate their love with a fall wedding in Destin, one of their most treasured places and a destination close to the heart of Juston’s late father, Jeppie Dees. It is here, surrounded by love, memories, and meaning, that their forever begins.
