How did a Southern California man come to meet a Central Florida girl? We still ask ourselves the same question today! With the whole country between us, how did we get this lucky!? Greg made the move to a small Florida town, Lakeland, back in 2018. Brittney moved to the same town 3 years prior. Finding each on, you guessed it, a dating app (thanks Bumble!) just a few short months after Greg had settled in to Florida living. Not only were we neighbors and didn't know it but our offices were neighboring as well. We ran into each other all around town for the following 12 months. Our 1 year casual friendship turned serious just before Greg was about to move again. Thankfully not across the country again, but far enough that the space would be tough. We made it work for what felt like an eternity before March 2020 ran the world indoors. We found ourselves spending everyday together and it felt so effortless. We moved in together a few months after the pandemic hit and went on to move several more times over the course of our relationship. Coast to coast and back again, across Florida Brittney followed Greg. He bought a house at the beach, we rented a home in South Orlando and have finally spent our longest stint in one place this passed year, right in the heart of Orlando. We spent much of our 5 year relationship celebrating all of our friends and family getting married (we are professional wedding attendees!). Those weddings hold some of our favorite memories together. In April, Greg had planned what appeared to be a very "normal" beach vacation to Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Nothing unusual or out of the ordinary for us, beach babies for life! Only to discover Greg had something BIG up his sleeve. The first night of vacation he planned a romantic dinner on the beach. Without a second thought as to why he would do such a thing for a normal vacation, it happened! Greg got down on one knee and Brittney didn't even give the poor guy a chance to say anything, but they both knew. YES, a thousand times yes! We have a long standing joke, that we are whales. Whales will travel over 3,000 miles to find their mate. While San Diego and Orlando aren't quite 3,000 miles apart, 2,500 miles still counts. We are so excited for this next chapter of our story and will continue to share with friends and family, near and far!
