Kenneth had worked for my dad previously at Red Hawk Casino and came to work for him at his business King’s Meats where we met for the very first time. I managed my dad’s food truck that was parked outside so I saw Kenneth in passing when coming in for product. Every time I had to come in for product, there was always eye contact and connection. Very flirtation eye connection. Both of us were shy and didn’t say much and this happened for a few weeks. As the rest of the team began to notice, I was encouraged to make a move. So I took an order sheet of the pad and said “Dinner sometime?” With my phone number and name (which he kept.) We went on our first date in December, our first trip away to Disneyland was the first week of January 2022, and on January 7th on pirates of the Caribbean he asked me to be his girlfriend. From then he would sit in the food truck on his lunch while I made his lunch for him and then began to refer to me as his “lunch lady.” So I told him if I’m his lunch lady, he needs to sing lunchlady land the next time he comes in for lunch. Sure as heck, he came in singing Adam Sandler’s Lunchlady land.

I’m sure you all have an idea what happened to get Luna so we will skip that bit of the story and keep that for us. In April of 2022 things were off so we took a test and sure enough, that little screen showed PREGNANT. Shocked, nervous, scared, but so excited all at once came through me. Then the thought of having to tell Kenneth scared the shit out of me because this was so new and this was huge. The next day when he was on his lunch break I broke it to him. Terrified and excited he hugged me and kissed me with reassurance. From there we spent our time going to Maui for the first time, Disneyland six times total in 2022, multiple concerts including my very first aftershock for all four days, and we got to see Adam Sandler. August of 2022 Emma and myself officially moved into Kenneth’s house where we had our first Christmas together. At that point I was doing all the things I could to get Luna out. Mainly eating all the spicy food including death wings from poor reds. We went there for my birthday with a lot of close family and I ate two pounds of death wings to myself. Three days later my water broke and on January 2nd of 2023 at 9:23am, Luna Casey King-Robinson made her appearance and made us a family of four.

Kenneth and I are annual pass holders to Disneyland so we go very often for no real reason at all, for food festivals, or special holiday events like Oogie Boogie bash. We have never been to Sweethearts Night and decided this year we should go for an extra special date night. Little did I know Kenneth had something extra special planned for this trip. It was raining and cold so the park wasn’t very busy. As usual, we went straight over to pirates for our first ride like we always do every trip. Then we made our way around the park on multiple rides, ate multiple snacks, and then decided it was time to start hitting the same rides. We went back towards pirates and there was Genny with Luna in front of the ride who were suppose to be at home. Then I turned around and Kenneth was on his knee, on the wet ground. The small crowd had cleared around us and it stopped sprinkling. Choked up and looking at the love of my life he said to me, “I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” (Or something like that as he’s reminding me right now) I leaned down and kissed him and everyone around us clapped. In front of my favorite ride in my favorite place and where he had asked me to be his girlfriend is where he chose to do it and it was perfect. We said bye to my now future in-laws and our babygirl and went about the day as an engaged couple. We got custom ears made and buttons of course. And then we got to have a fantastic evening spent at Sweethearts Night. We did photo ops for Tangled, Aladdin, and then went into the Royal Hall to meet Ariel and Prince Eric, Snow White and Prince Florian and the Mulan and Shang. We then had dinner at Café Orleans and froze sitting outside eating but the meal was fantastic! After our quick date night trip that turned into so much more, I started planning. I had all major things booked within a month and my dress found two weeks after he proposed. Now we are waiting for the next part of our story and to see what happens!
