Some call it fate, others call it coincidence—but for Brittney and Freddie, it seems an invisible string was quietly pulling them toward each other all along. Their story began at Salisbury University (Go Gulls), though they somehow managed to orbit each other without officially meeting. Freddie was friends with Brittney’s Long Island roommates and, ironically, met their beloved golden retriever, Nilla, before ever meeting Brittney herself. It wasn’t until their fifth year at Salisbury that the invisible string finally tightened. One spring night in 2019, at the infamous Brew River, they met, and from there, the rest was history. After graduation, they tackled long-distance, with Freddie returning to Long Island and Brittney staying in Maryland to start their careers. But four hours apart proved to be too many, so Freddie made the move to Baltimore, where they built a life together—one filled with love, laughter, and an ever-growing pet family. Alongside Nilla, they adopted two cats and their mischievous mini dachshund, Scout, who quickly became the household troublemaker. (Of course, Nilla remains the golden child.) In August 2024, on the sandy shores of Melbourne Beach, Florida—one of their favorite places, thanks to Grandma and Pop Beyrodt—Freddie got down on one knee and asked Brittney to spend forever with him. Now, they can't wait to celebrate their next chapter with all of their closest friends and family!
