Ian and Brittna met during a blizzard on Christmas Day in 2016. Brittna got her car stuck at the Trinity Hospital parking lot on her way home after ending her shift at 1030pm. Ian, who happened to be driving around that night, stopped, helped her out, and even made sure she got home safely. He ended up spending over an hour helping her out. Unfortunately, the two didn’t exchange names, so all Brittna had to go on was that his mom worked in lab at the hospital. Wanting to thank him, she found his mom in the lab and asked her to give him a gift card. Ian received the card and added Brittna on Facebook, where they began talking. The romance jumped from there, and by the end of May 2017, they were a couple.
Ian decided shortly after a year of dating that he wanted to marry Brittna. After working “late” one night, he picked up a ring and planned to propose while the couple was on vacation in Banff, Canada. After seeking her father’s permission (also while “working late”), he hid the ring. However, Ian struggled to keep the secret, and Brittna knew something was up. After a few missed opportunities in Banff, Ian was finally able to propose at sunset on August 8th at Lake Morraine by a waterfall. Brittna immediately said yes this beginning their engagement.
