The Wedding
Britten Creasor and Christopher Madia were married on July 4th, 2020 surrounded by their immediate family. The ceremony was held on the bank of Silver Lake and was nothing short of magical. The bride and groom stood hand in hand beneath their wedding arch, completely enveloped in wedding bliss. As they stood there, with tears in their eyes and grins plastered across their faces, it was clear that they were madly and deeply in love.
To the newlywed’s surprise and delight, just as the minister began the closing blessings, reciting the words of an old Celtic prayer, the sky opened and showered everyone with the largest raindrops anyone had ever seen. It was a warm, pleasant rain with drops the size of quarter dollars. At that moment, everyone knew the rain was a blessing, showering the happy couple with love. Like a true highland wedding, the bagpipes played as the sopping wet, but exuberant, newlyweds and wedding guests made their way back to the Madia household for the reception.
