Thanks to Twitter, we met online in 2012. As many of you know this love did not come easy, it took about 3 years of friendship for us to finally start "going steady." After one year of deployment apart, multiple apartments, moving to a new state and expanding our family with four legged pets, we decided to get married!
"I have thought about proposing to Brittany what feels like thousands of times in the past 6 years. After contemplating over and over again on how I would ask, I just decided that the day was the day. I had hidden her ring for a few months, waiting for the perfect opportunity. We had planned a trip to Apollo Beach to enjoy dinner on the beach, followed by a drive in movie, Captain Marvel. After the movie we snuck onto the beach to look at the stars. I pulled out the ring when she wasn't looking and asked her to marry me (while holding the ring box upside down). Thankfully she said yes!" -Tyana "Tyana sucks at pulling off surprises but she caught me completely off guard the night she proposed. I didn't know my eyes could produce such instantaneous tears! I wanted to give Tyana her own proposal so I purchased her dream ring and hid behind the washing machine (where I knew she'd never find it since I do all the laundry) I had so many ideas on how I was going to ask UNTIL she started a new job & was told she had to suddenly leave for a month but I couldn't wait that long. So the night before she left we ordered Chinese take out, built a fort and rented a scary movie (one of our favorite things to do) I placed the ring under the couch so I could easily grab it. We were about to go to bed when I asked her to also be my wife! Obviously she said yes. I thought I was 100% successful until she opened her smart mouth and said "I was wondering why you were being awkward all night...." **eye roll** -Brittany
