It was 2011 when Brittany and Tristen met in Spanish class during their junior year at Purdue University Northwest. Naturally, Tristen achieved a higher grade. Today, Brittany doesn't miss a beat in reminding Tristen that she can't even count to 10 in Spanish. Despite their attraction and connection to one another, they went their separate ways to explore their young lives. Years would pass but their connection only grew stronger. It was Tristen's 29th birthday when Brittany asked if she could take her out to celebrate. It was over tacos and margaritas that they rekindled a romance that had been growing for almost 8 years but due to distance they decided to continue a friendship. It wasn't until 3 years later, June of 2022, when Brittany sent Tristen a text out of the blue to tell her she was on her way to Lafayette and she needed an address. When she arrived, she walked up the driveway and sealed the deal with a kiss. The couple has been inseparable every since. It was through an 11 year friendship, 3 first dates, and many butterflies that Tristen and Brittany would not only share love for one another but also a last name.
