It was the summer of 2019. Mackensie, a mutual friend of the couple, invited Brittany to play sand volleyball at Presque Isle with some friends. It just so happened that Stevie was one of those friends. Stevie and Brittany did not initially talk to each other, but Mackensie reported back to Brittany a couple of days later that he was interested in her. Mackensie and Maile brought Stevie to eat dinner at Woody's, which was where Brittany worked at the time. Brittany decided to make the first move, and she wrote her number down on his receipt. And here we are today!
