Cotswolds Accomodation
The Cotswolds are a popular tourist destination in the UK so you will be spoiled for choice. We will be staying with our families at The Wheatsheaf Inn in Northleach. The accommodation page on the Stone Barn website lists a range of options from camp sites, to cottages, B&Bs and hotels - see here. We’ve also listed some good ones below - of course, it’s also worth looking at Airbnb. Flight
Flights to London
Of course there's no expectation that any of you would go ahead and book flights now. In fact, flights are normally cheapest around 3 months out from the date of travel. However, we wanted to share some tips and tricks with you now. For guests coming from Raleigh, American Airlines operates daily direct routes from Raleigh to London. However, as expected, it's generally much cheaper to book roundtrip from a big international hub like New York, Boston or Washington DC. If you are flying from a smaller destination like Raleigh we would recommend looking at booking two separate flights - one roundtrip from your destination to NYC and one roundtrip from NYC to London for the cheapest option. Regardless, we would recommend going ahead and setting a price alert on Skyscanner so you can see if and when flight prices are at their lowest.
Train
Trains, buses and rental cars
The reception venue is in the Cotswolds, near Burford. The reception venue, Stone Barn, is about 15 minutes’ drive from there. The easiest way to get to there from London is to take the train direct from Paddington to Shipton, and then a taxi. We’d recommend that you book train tickets now because prices are cheapest in advance. The train ride should take an hour and fifteen minutes and cost around £30 round trip - plus the cost and time in the taxi. A cheaper but longer alternative is to take a bus from London Victoria direct to Burford. Depending on traffic, this journey will take between two and two and a half hours from London and cost around £20 round trip. For the adventurous, there are plenty of affordable car rental companies at the airport and in Central London. This is the recommended option for anyone wanting to stay and explore the Cotswolds afterwards but beware of the narrow one-way country roads!

We have hired buses to take people from the Wheatsheaf Inn in Northleach and Burford to the chapel in Oxford on Friday morning. We also have a bus to take folks from the chapel to the reception venue following the service. Finally, we will have a bus taking people back to Burford and the Wheatsheaf Inn when the venue closes on Friday night. However, you can also hire your own taxi if you'd like to leave earlier. Bus details are as follows: Friday 17th 1100, Wheatsheaf Inn, Northleach → 1120 Burford → Magdalen College to take guests already in the Cotswolds to the wedding 1400 Magdalen College → Stone Barn to take guests from the ceremony to the reception 0100 Stone Barn → Wheatsheaf Inn, Northleach & 0100 Stone Barn → Burford after the reception Saturday 18th 1145 Wheatsheaf Inn, Northleach → Swan Inn, Swinbrook for lunch 1630 Swan Inn, Swinbrook → Shipton station
