How We Met

A true Hollywood meet cute

Brittany had just moved to LA, where she thought, "Ive got to do everything, sing, dance and ACT on camera." So off she went to play an ex- girlfriend in the music video of a folk duo called Love Letters. There she road up and down the dirt roads of Camarillo in a vintage pickup truck, "acting" in love and then breaking up with the handsome lead singer next to her. Who knew that the end of a love story would actually be the beginning?

Proposal

February 14, 2020

Every February Paul and I head out of the states for an adventure! Last year we decided to put away google translate and head across the pond. While I was planning where we should go for high tea and the proper walking boots to conquer the Tower of London, Paul had other things on his mind. And so a pit stop in the sleepy village of Salisbury would change everything. Valentine's Day morning was a typical English day so we grabbed our coats and hats to protect us from the inevitable drizzle and set out determined to have our picnic, (a favorite babes day activity). Buying an artisan blanket in the city centre, cheese, fruit, and champagne from the local grocer along with the last champagne flutes in the store, we set out to find our perfect spot. Following Paul, we walked and walked only to realize the only area not muddy from the over night rain was in front of the Salisbury Cathedral, a spot we ended up visiting every day since we arrived for one reason or another. Half a bottle in Paul was coming back from the bathroom when he asked me to turn around a put my shoes on. When I did a collard priest POPPED up from behind the rear wall! After I caught my breath he asked how we were, where we were from and if we were celebrating anything special. Paul's heart sank behind me but the priest joyfully and quickly sauntered off blessing us as a beautiful couple. WHAT?! Once I was allowed to turn around, it was a slow motion blur! There was a miniature replica of Stonehenge, a world wonder we had just biked to the day before, a statuesque man towering over it with a trembling piece of paper. After the words left the paper, he neatly folded it, put his phone in my left hand and pressed play. The music began, we started to dance, he started to sing....and I SAID YES!
