We first met October 8, 2017 at a speed-dating event for Nick's fraternity, Kappa Sig. The event was a test for pledges in order to see their ability to talk to women (obviously, our K-Sig President passed the test). We immediately clicked and stayed friends throughout college. Fast forward to June 11, 2019: Nick was studying abroad for the summer in Barcelona and Brit, while working in Italy, was meeting up with friends (some of which are in the wedding party!) in Barcelona too. That night, our group decided to hit the infamous Barceloneta Beach Clubs. We ended up at Shoko, where the boys all formed a protective circle around Brit to shield her from the creepy Spanish men. This was the catalyst for our romance. We spent the whole night dancing and talking until the sun rose. Following this fun weekend, we continued talking, with Nick visiting Brit in Florence a week later. Unfortunately, Nick had to fly back to San Diego but we continued talking all summer. At the start of Nick's senior year at SDSU and Brit's continuation of her job in Florence, our romance was put on pause. However, when Brit returned back home in March 2020, they picked up right where they left off. On June 18th, 2020, Nick tried to ask Brit to be his girlfriend, but he was beaten to the punch in typical Brit fashion. When he finally got the chance to get a word in, she happily accepted. Fast forward through 3 amazing years filled with travels, laughs, and love; we agreed this was FOR LIFE. On May 18th, 2023, Nick asked Brit to marry him in a place that is so special to us both. Brit said 'YES!!!!' in front of the Duomo in Florence, Italy. A month later, Brit followed a lifelong dream of living in New York City, and we took on a long-distance relationship (with Nick's full support of course). Even though we missed each other a lot, the year was one for the books. We both made so many incredible memories and lifelong friends. In July 2024, Brit (finally) moved back and we moved in together in North Park! We love our cute home together and had so much fun designing our space to fit us. Up until now, we have been in a whirlwind of weddings and wedding planning! We are so excited for the rest of our lives together and the new stories we will write. <3 B + N
