Michael and Brittany met on Hinge (thanks Justin McLeod) and had their first date on Halloween 2019. Michael was very adamant about meeting for a drink even though Brittany was out skiing all day. Carbon Coffee Bar was the site of their first date. After reminiscing about being from St. Louis for several hours, Brittany decided Michael was worthy of going out to dinner and the rest is history. Michael and Brittany dated for awhile and then COVID hit. Their relationship was either going to take off or fail as they had to spend every waking minute together. Michael and Brittany learned to use their mutual interests to grow their love. Skiing, hiking, camping, Keaton & Goldy, cooking, puzzles, beer and cocktail making were on the agenda every day during quarantine. Michael and Brittany bought a house together with their pups in September 2020. At the end of 2020, Michael was ready to propose. He asked permission, had a well-thought out plan, and was thinking of every detail for the proposal moment. Brittany is extra inquisitive and was slowly causing Michael to come up with new plans. On a brisk week in March, Michael's family was coming to visit, it was happening. Everyone was supposed to take a drive up Guanella pass, Michael had a spot picked out overlooking Georgetown, a photographer booked, and a celebratory party planned. However, that very same week happened to be one of the biggest snowstorms in Denver's history. Michael had to come up with a new plan and proposed on a trail behind their house. Brittany's mom & some of her best friends flew in for a surprise, as well as several of the couple's friends from Denver. March 13, 2021 will always be a day to remember, 33 inches of snow and a full house of friends and family with cancelled flights, it really couldn't have been any better.
