Maid of Honor
Sisters by birth, best friends by choice. Sharing a room wasn't always easy, but they survived (with only a few scars). If anyone knows how to put Brittany in her place and challenge her know-it-all attitude, it's Megan. And Brittany wouldn't have it any other way. Rio is also probably more in love with Megan than Brittany and Mike combined.
Bridesmaid
Better half of the Brown Girl White Girl Duo. Brittany and Reshma were roommates at Northeastern freshman through senior year, solidifying their forever friendship. They rarely left each other's sides and were known to wander the streets of Boston at odd hours with a beverage in hand, experiencing profound revelations that tightened their bond even more. From Philly to Albany, nothing will stand in the way of always having each other's backs.
Bridesmaid
Mike's oldest sister, the couple's Buffalo connoisseur, momma to Winston, and Harry Potter's #1 fan. As the oldest child, Meg's gotten stuck with the great job of coordinating gift buying for the entire Swanson family throughout her life (Brittany's also all too familiar with this role) and always comes through in the clutch. Meg knows the lyric to every Hamilton song out there and will probably request the DJ play the soundtrack through.
Bridesmaid
Mike's second older sister and mother to the adorable ring bearer and flower girl. While we know that Meg will request the Hamilton soundtrack, it's very likely that Mal will request Reba McEntire songs throughout the night. Mallory held the title of the smartest in the family until Kenzie came along and stole the show.
Bridesmaid
Mike's younger sister, runner-up for Harry Potter's #1 fan, and smartest Swanson child (although she hasn't quite learned how to pronounce ramen yet). A sophomore at Syracuse, Kenzie is helping Mike and Brittany relive their college days. Kenzie's #1 job in the Swanson family is keeping the family hip: telling them the hot new rap track or the cool new lingo (e.g., ratchet). She also keeps them on their toes when it comes to cell phone data usage on the family plan (her and Josh will get along fabulously); the wedding was planned to align with the start of the billing period so she can Snapchat the night away at the reception.
Best Man
Mike's BFFL. Mike and Jon have been best buddies since preschool, and he's also a card-carrying member of the Dave Matthews Band fanboy club. Jon and Mike have bonded over all the ups and (mostly) downs of being huge Bills and Sabres fans throughout their entire lives. While Jon lives down the coast in DC, Brittany can attest to them staying in touch through many video game nights hooked up to their microphones playing chel and COD.
Groomsman
Eric is the architect you never knew you wanted but now you know you need. Although him and Mike didn't meet until high school, they've been great friends after playing golf (looking good and playing better) and soccer together their whole high school careers. There's nothing like bonding on what might possibly be the worst high school soccer team ever put together. Eric's love of all things DMB has made it easy for them to stay in touch even while they're separated by 459 miles.
Groomsman
Dan is Mike's college roommate and the father to two beautiful children (hi, Ava and Reese!). Dan and Mike began their friendship as little kids playing on the same JAYS soccer team. While Mike quit soccer, Dan moved away from Jamestown and got very good at soccer. They rekindled their friendship producing low-quality pottery in the same ceramics class at JCC. They enrolled at Binghamton University and lived together through the literal ups and downs of going to college on a campus on a hill that is 4 miles removed from the downtown.
Groomsman
Brittany's younger brother. Known for his laid-back, goofy personality, Josh is also quite good at convincing Brittany of things that hold absolutely no truth and getting his way (he rarely, if ever, completed any of his assigned tasks on the "Chore Chart" growing up - leaving Brittany to complete them). His ability to annoy her aside, Brittany adores Josh and the ease with which he takes on life. And if you ever need advice on how to run through data far too quickly, Josh is your man!
Junior Groomsman
Brittany's youngest brother and coolest little man alive. Evan and Brittany have shared a special bond since the moment he was born. Their nearly 18-year age difference has never stopped them from being the best of friends. Evan exudes happiness and kindness. He's also a board game extraordinaire and Snapchat expert and can be found gracing the stage in drama club productions.
Ring Bearer
The cutest nephew there ever was! Known to travel with a dinosaur in hand, Easton's sweet, smart and knows how to get the party started - just play Baby Shark and watch him go.
Flower Girl
The sweetest niece there ever was! Currently cruising around like she's always known how to walk, Avery will undoubtedly strut down the aisle better than any flower girl ever has.
Usher
Brittany's brother from another mother (and father). Brittany still remembers the night she met Mike and her other stepbrother, Chris, at a pizza place in New Paltz many many years ago. Who knew that a decade later Mike and Josh would be partying hard in that same city together. Mike's funny, kind and has a real knack for Scattergories (and attempting to make sure we follow the rules).
Puppet Master
If anyone wears the pants in Brittany and Mike's relationship, it's Rio. With a loud bark and domineering, too-smart-for-her-own-good personality, this furry monster pulls the strings and leads the show. She likes sticks, balls, pizza and wings (off the sidewalk) and jaunts to Washington Park. If you ever see her on the streets of Albany, move aside. And don't worry, she won't be making an appearance at the wedding!
