FAQs

Question

But what will I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire, please. But we want you to actually smile in pictures, so if those shoes make your toes numb or you'll be fidgeting with that top button that is too tight, let it all hang loose.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids -- we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off too! So we would appreciate if you left the munchkins at home (and well supervised because we all know they're wild and we don't want you to have to leave early). *There will be one exception to this rule which is our ring-bearer, Ethan Reed Schmidt.

Question

What if it's calling for rain?

Answer

We are adding this more for a reminder to us that everything will be ok, than a question we actually think you'll worry about. The restaurant we are having the reception at doesn't open for regular business hours until 4pm so they have graciously agreed to be our rainy-day alternative for the ceremony. Take a deep breath.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather this time of year (let's be honest, any time of year) can be finicky in Baltimore. The average temperature will range anywhere from 45°-75°F. Here's hoping it's a beautiful day, please feel free to do any anti-rain voodoo you may know.

Question

What do I give the newlyweds as a gift?

Answer

As some as you may know, we are eager to have children. As all of you know, that is not so easy with 2 women. That being said, we would love your financial contribution to our adventure into parenthood. We are over the moon with simply your presence and participation in our celebration of love this year. DO NOT, we repeat, DO NOT give us gifts both years. That's just ridiculous.
