Picture this: first day of classes in August 2015 at the University of Florida. Students are running around, freshmen are getting lost, seniors are just rolling out of bed to see if attendance is mandatory. Insert Brittany, running late, power walking across campus to attend a gen ed class she doesn't really care about. She finds the generic looking classroom, right in the heart of campus, 2 minutes past time. The room is full and seating is limited. She spots an open seat on the left side of the room, power walks over, and takes a seat as inconspicuous as possible. To her left is a guy in an oversized tank top, and a faded Chicago bulls hat. Turns out, he's majoring in Anthropology and offers to help Brittany successfully pass this course (little did she know he was struggling to pass most courses himself). Fast forward two months, after several Jags viewing parties, tailgates, and walks to the bus stop in Rawlings, he gained the courage to ask her out (officially), him knowing that what they have is special, and this could be “the one.” Three full years of distance and driving all across the state of Florida to hang out together, Kyle and Brittany finally find common ground in Jacksonville. Finally, 4 years after that first Anthropology class, Kyle asked once again for it to be official. This time down on one knee. We all know the answer. Here walks in a Masters degree, a Doctorate degree, and jobs. Life the last ~5 years have been a bit sporadic for these two, yet they've found ways to grow as both individuals and as a couple. Brittany and Kyle are so excited to have this moment, to wrap up 5 years of chaos, and join the world as one.
