It all started on Facebook as a possible friend suggestion. Brittany, who was a friend of my sister Chelsea, was the most adorable girl, who also loved to make and build things. She would share pictures of things that she made on Facebook, including masks during COVID. I wanted to meet her, but did not have a connection to her, so I Cautiously sent a Facebook message, asking her to go to dinner or have a cup of coffee sometime. A few months past, and with no response, I noticed that she began working for The Dog Fence Guy. As I would be out on my evening walks, if I would pass a Dog Fence Guy sign, I would send her a Facebook message and let her know that I saw a place where she had been working. Sometimes, I might have just passed one as I was driving but never missed a chance to message her! I even went as far as to ask how the machine worked just to strike up a little conversation; she gave me a description and even sent a video! The summer before we met, I noticed she had been posting about iced coffee, and so I even tried some iced coffee to have some talking points with her. The magical moment happened when I was out for a drink after work with some teachers over the Labor Day weekend. I happened to say to my friend, Beth, “You remind me of a girl that I’ve been dying to get to know. Her name is Brittany Summers ❤️” Beth replied, “I know her!” Little did I know, Beth had texted her and mentioned my name And Brittany replied with, “I’ve been thinking about him!” A few weeks later, Brit and I had dinner at Trios where she texted, Don’t dress up cause I’m wearing sweatpants!” Little did I know, she wore her “going out sweatpants” to dinner! We sat, ate, and talked and laughed for over 3 hours! The night ended with Brit texting, “That’s the longest I have ever sat with anyone, I had a very nice time with you!” After that first date, I knew she was my soulmate, which is something I had lost hope in finding! To this day, she will always be my girl!
