We were set up by our mutual friends, Brooke and Rodger Cahill. Kevin was given my phone number and he called me to set up a not so blind date (we obviously stalked each other's social media LOL). Kevin picked me up and we had our first date at La Bocca. We hit it off instantly and stayed at the restaurant for 3 hours talking, drinking wine, and eating pizza! Kevin texted the next morning to set up our second date. I texted back that I would love to, to which I did not receive a response. He then called the next afternoon to ask again and our next date was set! We found out on that date that he had never received my text response, good old technology! Good thing he was so persistent or we wouldn't be where we are today, each of us marrying our best friend.

Knowing my love for gardening and light productions, Kevin secretly had my sister set up a family birthday celebration for her and myself (Nichole and my birthdays are a week apart) at the Desert Botanical Electric Desert event. Kevin and I were late to the event and my family was already inside waiting for us. The ticket counter told us they were sold out and we could not get in. Kevin sent me to go call my mom while he spoke to the manager. Magically, we were let in. After he and my dad went off ahead of the group, we finally caught up to them at a place where you could see the whole mountain with the light show on it. Nichole pretended to take a picture of us as Kevin got down on one knee! In true Kevin fashion he said, "So you want to get married or what?" Through tears of joy I said, "Yeah!" We are so excited to share this chapter of our live with you! See you in Mexico!
