Shortly after graduating from college, we both started working part-time for the City of Encinitas in the Parks and Recreation Department. We met while working the summer youth day camp in 2015. In the off season, we worked at the Encinitas Community Center together for nearly three years. Toward the end of our time working for the City of Encinitas, Kevin finally asked Brittany on a date to Mother Earth Brewery.

Fast forward three years after our first date and 60+ breweries later, we got engaged! Since the first year of dating, we had planned a trip to the east coast for the spring of 2020. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we had to reschedule the trip twice. After a year and a half of planning and rescheduling, we finally made it out to the east coast. While playing tourist and walking around Manhattan, Kevin found the perfect opportunity to propose in Time Square. And of course she said yes!
